The South Centre is seeking to build a roster of French and Spanish freelance translators.
Requirements:
- Be of French or Spanish mother tongue.
- Have a university-level diploma or degree in translation or a related field.
- Have a minimum of two-year experience of self-revised translation.
- Have full command of the mother tongue and excellent knowledge of English.
- Have a broad general culture and familiarity with or interest in trade and development issues.
The South Centre especially encourages nationals of developing countries to send their Curriculum Vitae. Short-listed candidates may be required to pass a translation test.

L’Humanité www.humanite.fr a ouvert en janvier 2004 un volet en langue anglaise de son site Web. Vous pouvez visiter ce volet anglophone à l’adresse suivante www.humaniteinenglish.com. Notre équipe composée de traducteurs et traductrices du monde entier (Tokyo, Melbourne, Londres, New York, Paris etc.) et d'un webmestre coordonne cette aventure en liaison étroite avec L’Huma.
Pour que notre projet continue à progresser, nous avons besoin d'enrichir notre équipe du soutien actif de collègues (bénévoles) en traduction ou révision du français vers l’anglais, et de celui d’autres familiers de la langue anglaise (professeurs d'anglais langue seconde, professeurs d'anglais langue maternelle avec une bonne connaissance du français etc.).
